Inkjet Printers:

Select the Scanner option on the printer control panel. Select Manual Feed.

Place your document face down in the feed tray and press Scan to begin scanning.

After scanning is complete, remove original document and store for future reference.

How to scan a document on HP printer

Before using the scanner make sure that your printer is turned on and that the proper drivers are installed. You can usually find these in the software section of your computer or device.

If you do not have access to a USB port, you can also connect your device directly under the network port (if there is one) or through wireless connection. If you are connected through network, make sure that you have permission to perform file scanning on other computers.

Press the scan button on your device, your computer will automatically open the HP scanning application. From this application you will have a lot of options to control and scan your file.
